Florence Guiraud began her artistic studies at École des Beaux-Arts in Toulouse and then at the École Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, where she graduated. For several years she has worked in advertising and the press.
Illustrations of fauna and flora have been the main features ofher work, which naturally led her to illustrate numerous documentaries for publishing houses such as Fleurus, Nathan, Larousse, Hachette and Milan. For several months she worked for the Grande Galerie de l’Evolution at the Museum of Natural History in Paris for an exhibition on the Forests of the World.
Always in search of new techniques to illustrate her stories, she uses different media and works on acrylic, pastels, collage and engraving.
She was rewarded with a Non Fiction Mention at the Bologna Children Book Fair in 2013 for her book “Dans mon panier”.
