Real-life skills for teens

All children want to be independent. As adults, we get in to the habit of doing everything for them. It is hard to let go. But, we need to feed that desire for independence. Children learn important life skills as they manipulate materials and practice new competences. Even more important is the confidence that the child gains when he achieves a new goal. “Help me to do it by myself.” To help ease children’s lives at all ages, there are some skills that they need to learn. This gives them a sense of responsibility and encourages their growing independence. In this book they will find step by step practical instructions on a wide range of useful basic skills: tricks for more effective study methods, the best way to repair a flat tire on a bike, cutting toe nails, how to remove chewing gum from a carpet, table manners, a way to erase something from a paper without leaving a trace or how to go green at home.
